Are You Living Your Kavod?

Hi there,

I hope you’ve had a lovely week.

I wanted to share something I’ve been thinking a lot about lately: significance.

Recently, I've been thinking deeply about how we can make sure we live a life that matters.

For many of us, I just have this feeling that we don’t really tap into the significance of what our lives are meant to be about.

Either life whizzes past too fast - we sense there’s something we’re meant to be doing, but we’re not quite sure what it is…

Or we just get swept up in the day-to-day, and before we know it, the months - even years - have slipped by.

There's a beautiful word that I've learnt in Hebrew, for this significance: kavod.

It means weight, importance, significance.

The full richness of everything you’ve lived, learned, and survived - and what it means for the world.

The truth? Most people never fully access their kavod.

They ignore their own brilliance and settle for small. They bury their gifts under busy-ness, bad habits and the constant pull of “what everyone else is doing.”

Life happens. We blink and suddenly it’s October. Some days, I can barely believe it's not 1998 and I've only just left school!

But understanding our own kavod matters. Not later. Not “one day.” Now.

Because the pain of realising, too late, that a life hasn’t truly been lived… is something none of us want to feel.

How to Check In with Your Kavod

Here are a few prompts to help you pause and reconnect with the weight of your own life:

What has life taught you that could help others?

Think beyond your job title - what lessons, perspectives, or resilience have you earned the hard way?

Where do you feel most alive?

Notice the moments, places, or people that energise you. Your significance often lives there.

What have you survived?

Your struggles, mistakes, and challenges are part of the richness of your kavod - don’t discount them.

If today was the halfway point of your life, what would you regret not doing?

Let this question cut through the noise.

Who would notice if you weren’t here?

Sometimes our importance is most visible in the lives we touch without even realising it.

Your kavod is already there.

The only question is whether you will see it - and live it - while there’s still time.

Sending all the love!
