Hey there,
How’s your week been?
I’ve spent most of the week reflecting on love and how, deep down, that’s what drives almost everything we do.
As humans, we’re all just walking around wanting to be seen.
To matter.
To love and be loved.
And that doesn’t just live in our personal lives. It shows up in our work too.
For a long time, I thought my drive came from ambition. From wanting to build something successful, hit the milestones, prove I could do it.
But somewhere along the way, after a lot of coaching, reflection and therapy, I realised it’s actually connection that drives me.
Every conversation, every workshop, every coaching session. It’s never really about the frameworks or the slides (though, of course, they’re brilliant).
It’s about that spark when someone suddenly sees what’s possible.
When they reconnect with themselves, the real them, underneath all the noise of 'shoulds' and 'musts'.
That’s where the love lives.
In business, we tend to dress it up.
We call it engagement, culture, relationships.
But strip it back and what do we find?
- Humans wanting to be understood.
- Leaders craving genuine connection with their teams.
- Founders trying to create something that matters.
And here’s what I’ve learned. The businesses that thrive aren’t the ones with the perfect strategy.
They’re the ones brave enough to lead with connection.
The ones who say “I see you” before “I sell you.”
Who ask “What do you need?” before “Here’s what we offer.”
Who remember that behind every title, every email, every LinkedIn profile, is just another human who wants to feel a little less alone in all of this.
Because when we get connection right, everything else follows.
- The strategy becomes clearer.
- The leadership feels more authentic.
- And the business grows from a place of truth, not tactics.
So here’s my question for you this week:
What would change in your business if you led with connection first?
Because I promise you, that’s where the magic happens.
Right there.
Deep down, where love lives.
Big love,
Cate x
